Vegetarian Plate

One thing that annoys me is substituting something for meat, I can't help but think vegetarian food should highlight vegetables, do they really need a processed alternative to meat? This dish is simple but full of flavour and very simple to put together.

This plate has a serving of road kill potatoes (recipe is on the blog)

Two pieces of grilled haloumi cheese

Thinly sliced eggplant drizzled with olive oil has a delicious smoky flavour

Vine ripened tomatoes drizzled with olive oil and oven baked caramelise nicely, those in the picture maybe should be cooked a little longer.

To add to this,  asparagus particularly at this time of year perhaps with a poached egg.
