Layered Casserole with Beef, Cabbage and Potato
This is a layered casserole that can work as vegetarian dish, a side dish or a one pot meal
Ingredients:
500gms meat of your choice (Optional use mushrooms instead of meat)
1/2 head cabbage
shredded and
5-6 large potatoes (I use yellow potatoes)
2 large carrots
1 med onion
pasata
Salt, pepper, coriander, Vegeta or any of your favorite spices
Oil to saute
Cut meat in med-small pieces. Add salt, pepper, coriander. Cook until ready.
Slice cabbage into short strips. Add spices to your taste. Saute for about 15 min.
Slice onion into small cubes. Peel and grate carrots. Saute until golden color.
Mix together with cabbage.
Preheat oven to 180c.
Slice potatoes. Add salt, pepper.
Make layers: first meat or mushrooms, potatoes then cabbage. Or mince meat and put it on top. Pour pasata to cover it all. Cover and bake up to an hour or until potatoes are ready.
Enjoy!!!
